  • How wicked does this look? Jack Black will be running this unique JR#8 sticker kit on his kart at Eastern Creek for this weekend's Jason Richards Memorial Pro Tour round. "Jason was very good to Jack and this event means a lot to him" Jack's dad Ian informed KartSportNews. The Blacks would also like to acknowledge and thank Jordan Boys for his co-operation. "Jordan has lent us his number #8 so that Jack can run #8 this weekend, which was Jason's race number."

It's subsequently popped up in various places on the internet with words along the lines of "how good is Alonso, returning to karting and passing the whole field in two minutes making the kart racers look amateur". Err, it's quite clear from that footage those other drivers ARE amateurs!

  • Entries are open for the Victorian State Superkart Championship, to be held on the Phillip Island Grand Prix circuit on August 15 & 16. The meeting is also the Non-Gearbox (Rotax) and Stock Honda Nationals. The event is a perfect opportunity for those in the SKA Australian Superkart Championship to get some track time before the 2nd round in September.
