MULTIPLE BRANDS SELECTED FOR KARTING AUSTRALIA TYRE SUPPLIERS

Following an intensive tyre tender process, the Karting Australia Board have confirmed the successful tenderers for a five-year period from January 1, 2016.

Extensive independent testing of tyres tendered by five different manufacturers took place during August prior to the manufacturers being selected.

The selections will see the famous Bridgestone brand return to Australian karting circuits with some new products while the popular Dunlop and MG brands remain as a staple for the karting community.

In addition to supplying the dry weather tyres for the specified Classes, the successful manufacturers will also be required to supply the wet weather tyres for the same group.

“The tender program was keenly contested by many of the world’s best kart tyre manufacturers,” said Karting Australia CEO Kelvin O’Reilly.

“The quality of the tyres submitted across all tender groups was exceptional.”
