Victorian Aaron Cameron is ranked 22nd after the KF-Junior heat races at the World Championships in La Conca. He will start 'pre-final 2' from grid 11 and needs to remain in the top 17 to transfer to the Final. He would have been even higher on the grid if not for a DNF in his final heat.
"Unfortunately a big mistake by me made us DNF the final heat which was very disappointing" he wrote on Facebook. "Hopefully all goes well and we can go full gas in the grand final!"

Basz e Nielsen leads in KF
There were great expectations for thrilling duels on track, and these expectations were completely fulfilled. With still two Heats remaining to establish the name of the pole-sitter of the Prefinal, once again the favourites are the Danish Nicklas Nielsen (Tony Kart-Vortex-Vega) and the Polish Karol Basz (Kosmic-Vortex-Vega). They both won twice, while the reigning European Champion and the 2013 World Champion of the category – the British Ben Hanley (Croc-TM-Vega) and Tom Joyner (Zanardi-TM-Vega) – scored a victory each, as well as the Spanish Pedro Hiltbrand (CRG-Parilla-Vega) and the Dutch Martijn Van Leeuwen (CRG-TM-Vega).
Tomorrow we will see whether the name of the new World Champion will come out from these top drivers or from the pack of underdogs immediately behind them.

In Prefinal 1 the second slot on the grid will be filled by the French Clement Novalak (Tony Kart-Vortex-LeCont), who won once, while the second row will be occupied by the Brazilian Caio Collet (Tony Kart-Vortex-LeCont) and the Finnish Konsta Lappalainen (Tony Kart-Vortex-LeCont), both with a victory each too.
In Prefinal 2, second place for the Brazilian Felipe Drugovich (Kosmic-Vortex) who, thanks to a victory, finished ahead of the Belgian Ulysse De Pauw (Birel-Parilla) and the Italian Lorenzo Colombo (Tony Kart-Vortex). The other winners of today's races were the Danish Noah Watt (Fa-Vortex), the Belgian Kenny Roosens (Kosmic-Parilla) and the Russian Ivan Shvetsov (Tony Kart-Vortex).
