The largest contingent for Project X Racing will be amongst the junior classes. Recent successful outings at the Australian Kart Championship in Newcastle for both Jace Matthews and Harrison Hoey will have the pair confident of a big result at their home track. While Matthews will line up in the one make Junior Max Trophy category, Hoey will be behind the wheel of his Ricciardo Kart in the open Junior Max category. The two drivers will also have their younger siblings competing behind the wheel with Declan Matthews and Jacinta Hoey racing in the Mini Max class.

In addition to the brother and sister combination for Hoey and the two brother pairing for Matthews, the oversubscribed Junior Max class will see further representation for Project X Racing from Nathan Hadlow, Jamie Gillan, Eryn Osborne and Jake McRae. Alongside Jace Matthews in the Trophy category will be Brieann Moyse who continues to gain important experience behind the wheel at the top level of Karting in Australia. Jack Grambauer will strengthen the team’s showing in the growingly popular Mini Max field with over 20 drivers again set to line up in the class.

Project X Racing’s family affair will continue into Rotax Light and DD2 with regulars Dalton and Tristan Ellery lining up in their Chelgrave Contracting sponsored Exprit machines. The pair have been regularly improving throughout the year and will be looking to convert these developments into a successful finish at their home event. Joining Dalton in Rotax Light will be teammates Joshua Davey and Blake Worboys.

Completing the line-up for Project X Racing at Ipswich this weekend will be Ben McCombie and Jamie Page who will both compete in the Rotax Heavy category.

Friday will see all classes on track for six practice sessions with qualifying and three heat races on Saturday and a pre-final and final on Sunday.
