Another Cleansweep For HDR/Arrow Duo

press release 5 October 2015

The Harrington Doyle Racing Arrow Karts duo of Declan Fraser (Junior National Light) and Brenton Simonds (TaG Heavy) closed out their respective winning 2015 Central Queensland Karting Series Championship campaigns in style over the weekend by taking yet again another clean sweep of round results at Rockhampton.

Both of the Inox Lubricants supported drivers qualified their Arrow Karts on Pole in the Beef Capital of Australia and won all Heat, Pre Final and Final races of the fourth and final round of the series.

The pair have industriously followed the DPE Kart Technology supported Series from Emerald, to Gladstone, to Bundaberg and finally Rockhampton over the past few months, whilst also maintaining their other intense program commitments to the Australian Kart Championship Series (5 rounds nationally) and also the Queensland Kart Championship Series (3 rounds - Emerald, Townsville and Toowoomba).

“This year’s CQ Karting Series has been an outstanding effort by all involved and it has been a pleasure to race in the rural and mining heartland where we always feel welcomed,” said HDR Arrow Karts Team Manager Craig Doyle, ”but it’s been a remarkable Series for Declan and his father Justin, as Declan was the fastest Qualifier in every one of the four rounds and took a perfect clean sweep of all races, winning all 8 Heats, all 4 Pre Finals and all 4 Finals available in the 2015 Series.  We couldn’t have asked any more of him or fellow HDR Arrow Karts senior Team mate, Brenton Simonds in TaG Heavy, who almost entirely mirrored near perfect results.  Simo also impressively won all 8 Heat Races, all 4 Pre Finals and all 4 Finals in the Series’ TaG Heavy Championship.  He almost had the clean sweep qualifying on pole twice in the Series for his class (Emerald & Rockhampton), also in P2 at Bundaberg; and was just outside the Top 5 (Gladstone) at his home track”.

Not only did the Team come away from Rockhampton as Round and Series winners in their respective classes, but Fraser also won one of three new Arrow Karts that were offered by Series’ sponsors DPE Kart Technology as lucky draw prizes for any driver who competed in all 4 rounds of the Series.

With the Central Queensland Series now locked away, Fraser and Simonds next re-join fellow HDR Arrow Karts Team mates Scotty Sorensen, Luke Flynn and Jake Downs at the invitational Gold Coast 600 Race of Stars, powered by SuperFest on the Gold Coast on October 16/17.
