  • Projext X Racing has a mammoth 2015 Race Team chassis sell out happening at the moment. Items include: 4 x Ricciardo Dr-01 30mm, 1 x Ricciardo Dr-01 28mm, 4 x Exprit Neosis 30mm, 3 x Exprit Neosis 30mm DD2 rollers, 1 x Intrepid Trophy kart, 1 x Monaco M3 Vegas. The karts are less than about seven meetings old and all chassis can be placed on the jig and checked on pickup. Project X Racing will freight Australia wide.   • This is the decoration for Dave Sera's ride at this weekend's Race of Stars. In addition to picking up Morris Finance as a new sponsor, Dave's KZ2 Deadly will carry the 'Ride to Conquer Cancer' message. "(It's) helping support a bicycle ride some Karting Australia members will be taking part in the following weekend for our good friend Aaron Ivermee who succumbed to Melanoma last year" David wrote on Facebook. "I'll be doing my best to do the #58 proud!"

  • The Canberra kart track has now received official approval to run race meetings in the opposite direction - starting this Saturday! "It's official now, so its all systems go" said CKRC Vice President, Greg Williams. "This weekends race will be run in the reverse direction. I am really looking forward to running in the new direction myself." The meeting is a perfect opportunity to prepare for next month's Canberra Cup, which will also be run in reverse direction.

  • The VKA posted an image on social media prior to Bathurst proudly proclaiming that from 1996 to 2013, the winning combination in the Great Race included a driver that started karting at a Victorian kart club. This years victory by Lowndesy and Richo just added to that tally.

  • Live coverage of the ROK International Final will also be broadcast from Lonato this weekend. Races will be live on www.rokcup.com and, as per the WSK and CIK events, will have English and Italian commentary. Updates on RoK Cup Facebook.

  • The motorsport wheel will turn a full 360 degrees this Saturday at Avalon Raceway when former top karter Nick Parker will make his debut on a speedway track in a speedcar, completing the circle started by his grandfather Bert Parker back in the 1950s at the famous Traceys Speedway in Maribyrnong (Melbourne). Nick's motorsport journey originally started in speedway with pit crewing before he took to the wheel himself in karts, aged 13. Parker won seven State Karting Championships, enjoyed a number of podiums at national level and won the Karter of The Year award from KartOz Magazine in 2001. A brief foray into Formula Ford was followed by five years of competition in Commodore Cup until the demise of the class in 2010.

  • It's not too late for the last blue plate! Entries for the 2015 Tasmanian Kart Championship at Launceston close at midnight, Friday 30th of October. The November 20-22 event is open to karters from ALL states and territories. Supp Regs are on the Race Calendar page. There will also be an 'open' club meeting on Saturday, November 7. Any mainland drivers intending to race both the club meeting and the Tasmanian Kart Championship who would like assistance with storing kart trailers etc between events, please email the LKC Club Secretary.


  • SKUSA advise there are already over 400 entrants for the 19th running of the Superkarts! USA SuperNationals in Las Vegas. Entry in the classes that still have vacancies will close in two weeks. This year's event is on a new site and will therefore be a brand new track design. Karts are set to hit the track on November 18 with the main events scheduled for November 22.

  • Women get their own national championship in France. The 2015 'Feminine' championship is for Rotax MAX on Mojos and will take place at the Essay (Aunay les Bois) circuit on October 24 and 25. The event will also crown French champions in Minime (Mini MAX) and Cadet. Both these categories run on Bridgestone YDS tyres and are open to boys and girls.
