Inglis Is 200 Open Super Series Champion

press release 21 October 2015

James Inglis has created history by becoming the inaugural winner of the 200 Open Super Series by winning the fourth and final round at the Busselton Dirt Kart Club on Saturday October 17th.

This was the Busselton track's third attempt at hosting a round due to the two previous attempts being washouts.

A small but quality field of eight karts ventured to the southwest venue for the final round where Inglis held a slender three point lead over Nathan Walton with Joe Chalmers a further five points behind. Unfortunately, Walton couldn’t contest this round due to being away on his honeymoon in Bali.

Matt Morton had a good win in Heat 1 over Chalmers and Inglis which reduced the series margin between them to only six points.

Heat 2 saw Inglis take full advantage of a Chalmers DNF to stretch the gap out to 26 points with a solid win. Chalmers bounced back with the win in Heat 3 whilst Round 1 winner Joel Ettridge would go and win Heat 4.

Inglis would win the final from Morton, Chalmers and John McDonnell. Inglis and Morton would tie for the round win with Inglis being the round winner on countback with Morton second and Chalmers in third.

The 2015 West Australian 200 Open Super Series provided great racing with four different winners of the four rounds and a total of twenty nine different drivers competing in the series.
