Classes Confirmed For 2016 Australian Kart Championship

The Karting Australia Board has confirmed an expanded Australian Kart Championship for 2016.

A total of nine classes will be eligible for national honours to reflect the array of age groups and performance levels of karting classes across the country.

For the first time, competitors in the youngest class of Australian karting – Cadet 9 – will be eligible to battle for National Championship honours. Drivers in the Cadet 12, KA Junior, KF3, KA1, KA TaG, X30, KF2 and KZ2 classes will join the youngsters in the five-round schedule.

All classes will contest five races at each round.

Round 1 – February 5-7 – New South Wales
Round 2 – March 25-27 – Victoria
Round 3 – May 13-15 – South Australia
Round 4 – July 1-3 – Queensland
Round 5 – September 23-25 – Victoria
