Local Launceston karters Troy Stone, Alastair Lee and Dillon Van Galen will be vying for honours in TaG Heavy whilst Adam Garwood and Jason Conroy will be flying the LKC flag in TaG Light.
In other classes, father and daughter Kerry and Leah Beechey will hit the track together for the first time this weekend. Leah will be competing in seniors for the first time after graduating from Juniors last year, whilst father Kerry will be competing in the Masters Pro class, however both classes will be combined this weekend, meaning the two could be dicing for positions come Saturday evening's final. Leah believes she has the pace to hold her dad at bay, she said with a grin.
Also competing in seniors for the first time will be Launceston's Caitlin Fitch when she takes on the boys in TaG Restricted Heavy.
Another who will be keen to start the season off with a good result will be other Launceston Kart Club member Toby Callow after receiving a new Kosmic kart to compete in the Cadet 9 class, as will another youngster from the LKC in Ollie Richardson.
