Kremers' Full 2016 Australian Campaign

  18 January 2016

Dutch karting star Marijn Kremers will race Ricciardo Karts with the Patrizicorse team in Australia and take on the full Australian Kart Championship in 2016.

Kremers has competed here on "one off" occassions several times, but this year will make the 2016 AKC a priority. He will compete in the IAME X30 and Vortex DVS KA1 classes.

Kremers will also jump aboard a DD2 in the Rotax Pro Tour when these do not clash with his European KZ and World Championship commitments.

"In my opinion Marijn is one of the biggest talents we have ever seen in this country" said team owner, Michael Patrizi.

"His niche is KZ, but like Lennox-Lamb who is racing Rotax Senior at the FWT, Marijn is racing direct drive here for us.

"Strategically I think it's brilliant and I am more then happy with the three KZ drivers we have this year."

"Having Marijn move Down Under to race with us full time with full support of the BirelART factory shows even more the commitment of not just Patrizicorse, but also our factory in the success and development and growth of our brands in the Oceania region."

"I'm very excited to be joining the Patrizicorse team this season" Kremers added.

"It's going to be a challenge to get used to the new classes quickly, but I'm sure we will be fighting for the top spots from the very first race.

"Birel ART and Ricciardo Kart believe a lot in my ability and to send me to Australia to concentrate on the direct drive classes is an exciting challenge.

"Hopefully I can win one of your green and yellow plates!!"
