25 Countries Represented at X30 Challenge Europa

press release 6 March 2016

The X30 Challenge Europa, the first European race of the X30 2016 season, will take place in three weeks in Italy on the 7 Laghi International track in Castelletto di Branduzzo ( Italy).

The reasons behind the success

With 25 countries represented (France, Italy, Germany, Belgium, Switzerland, USA, Spain, Portugal, Greece, Lebanon, Norway, China, Taiwan, Ireland, United States, Estonia, Sweden, Finland, Singapore, Japan ...) and no less than 200 drivers on the starting grids (an increase of 30% compared to 2015!), the event promises to be a sporting success with the three main classes X30 Junior, X30 Senior & X30 Master sold out.

The keys to success? As usual, the organization has taken care of the small and big details to offer a faultless meeting: the centralization of the operations within the "Race Management" close to the paddock, the live timing and video streaming, speaker in three languages, race management and officials from six different countries (France, Switzerland, Belgium, Finland, Italy and Germany), a dedicated photo service, the administrative reception with "X30 Galactic Girls", flawless price giving... and some Easter eggs to drivers and mechanics.

New categories

IAME takes the opportunity of a big international event to launch two new categories.

The X30 Mini where drivers aged 9 to 12 will race one meeting of the Italian X30 Challenge and where, thanks to the new international rules, we’ll also enjoy the presence of drivers from Sweden, Belgium, Greece and Germany.
The brand new X30 Super will see its first international appearance and will be the headliner of the weekend providing an explosive mix of a powerful engine (175cc) driven by a platoon of talented drivers ready to tear the asphalt apart. The future is running!

The Contenders

In X30 Junior the battle promises to be massive with Milan Petelet, the defending champion, David Malukas, winner of the IAME International Final 2015 and his mate Pete Bradshaw. Royce Yu, from Hong Kong, the rapid Eteki Adam, Alexander Jenouvrier (winner of the first meeting of the Stars of  Karting in Val D’Argenton) or the Spanish Rubén Moya are in the list of favorites. Nevertheless they will be chased by the Germans Alexander Richter, Kevin Wagner and Felix Wischlitzki.

The Englishman Oliver Hodgson, the Dutchman Mike Bartels and the Portuguese Diogo Pinto lead the list of the X30 Senior class where more than 70 drivers are enrolled to compete under the sign of sportsmanship. Sylver Garcia, Fabio Mattu, Joshua Thompson and the German Simon Steffen will give a hard time to their competitors and surprises can always be expected in this performing class. Henrick Von Danwitz, Kevin Saul and Jayne Robinson could also be the ones of the weekend !!

A reliable prognostic is hard to tell in X30 Master. The homeboy Tino Donadei, the Peruvian Mario Barrios or the multiple winner of the Le Mans 24H Karting Wilfried Lecarpentier must be necessarily monitored together with the formidable Finnish Mikko Laine and English Graham Hill. Watch out also for the Chinese Junjin Pu and the French Nicolas Duchateau, they both lust for success!

The Belgian armada will play hard in Italy: Drion, Godefroid De Pauw, Potty and Von Bogaert are all candidates to the final victory. But France will not make the job easy deploying Ricci, Rongier, Compere, Picot and Midali. The Peruvian Greenfield, who performed greatly in Le Mans last year might also surprise as well as the Swedish Viktor Oberg.

In X30 Super Shifter (175cc - 6 speeds gearbox), the Belgian Thierry Delré is one of the big favorites but he will have to watch closely the Portuguese Yohan Souza and the Italian Matteo Viganò. Finally, the GP Racing team troops two Italian drivers that will need to be kept in sight as could result in a surprise.

For latecomers, some places still available in X30 Super and X30 Super Shifter.
