Armstrong's Early Exit From Sarno Final

Despite another impressive showing in qualifying, the heat races and his Pre-Final, young Kiwi karter Marcus Armstrong was out early in the Final at the second round of this year's WSK Super Master Series at Sarno in Italy on Sunday.
"We got driven over on the second lap and that was that," the 15-year-old from Christchurch said from Italy on Monday morning.

Before that the works Tony Kart driver had shown the same sort of potential he had at the opening round of this year's Super Master Series a fortnight ago.
He was the third quickest in his Free Practice group, 11th in qualifying, and fourth and tenth respectively in his heat races, before finishing his Pre-Final sixth and starting the Final from P11 on the grid.
That, too, was on a weekend when it was the turn of some of the other works outfits to shine.
"We just didn't have the speed for anything mega, so the best we were going to accomplish was a top 10. But we know why our speed wasn't good and everything will be sorted by our next event," Armstrong said.
The four-round WSK series attracts all the top professional teams in Europe and gives drivers like Armstrong and Tony Kart team leader, three-time World Champion Marco Ardigo, a chance to get their eye in for the three-round CIK-FIA European Championships and single round CIK-FIA World KZ Championship meeting later in the year.
