Compkart Appoints Zed Corse as Queensland Dealer

press release 5 April 2016

Front running National Karting team, Zed Corse are set to become the exclusive dealers for the Compkart brand in Queensland.

Headed by Karting stalwarts Rob Simpson, Scott Simpson and Kris Walton, the trio will take over the role from current Team Principal Steve Macken effective immediately.

The Compkart brand was launched into Australia in the latter part of 2015, headed by Queensland based Steve Macken. Since its initiation, the team has grown to develop dealership bases in both NSW and Victoria and achieve a range of successful results on the National stage.

“We have achieved some fantastic results since launching the Compkart brand into Australia in late 2015 and since then, the brand has managed some significant growth into different regions around the country through our dealer network and subsequently we have managed to take plenty of race and also round wins which has helped to put the Compkart name on the map,” Macken said.

In announcing that the Zed Corse team would take over to become the sole dealer of Compkart in Queensland, Macken outlined that he continues to be very impressed by the high standard of the team and is confident of seeing it expand further in the near future.

“I’m delighted to see Zed Corse step up to become the sole dealer for Compkart in Queensland. The team has a wealth of experience across a broad spectrum of areas in Karting across many years so they will be a perfect fit to continue to expand the brand in Queensland and ensure the ongoing professionalism is displayed that we strive for as part of the business,” Macken added.

Zed Corse’s Rob Simpson, who has been involved in Karting for 30 years, is excited at the opportunity to assume the Compkart dealership in Queensland and subsequently see the brand grow further in years to come.

“We have a great team at Zed Corse with plenty of experience and we will be using that experience right from the outset to further develop the Compkart product. I’m really appreciative of Steve’s (Macken) support when we first become a dealer for the brand and since then the growth and now the transition of Zed Corse becoming the sole dealer. We will be aiming for an expansion of the brand further in coming months and I look forward to seeing it grow,” Simpson said.

In the first National events of 2016, the Compkart brand has already achieved numerous race and round wins in both Junior and Senior categories at the Rotax Pro Tour and Australian Kart Championship with the brand to continue its growing presence at the top level of Karting.

Compkart Australia will be relocating its headquarters to Eastern Creek in New South Wales in May. More news regarding this will be released shortly.
