AWC Academy Drivers Target Rebound at Monarto

press release 11 May 2016

The AWC Motorsport Academy is looking to rebound from a difficult round 2 of the Australian Kart Championship this weekend at the third round, to be held at the Monarto Karting Complex in South Australia.

After getting off to a strong start at the first round in Dubbo, the team experienced a run of bad luck at Puckapunyal with all four drivers getting caught up in incidents beyond their control.

“As a team we’re looking at improving our qualifying performances at Monarto. It’s just so important to start up the front in these events, it sets up your whole weekend and we definitely need to improve in this area” said Team Director Johnathan Males.

“Even after the frustrating weekend last time out, it was great to see the level of enthusiasm and camaraderie amongst the team. Everyone is really focused on improving and learning and they know the results will come with the hard work they’re all putting in”.

Both Nathan Zuj and Brody Appleby will be aiming to break back into the top 10 points standings in the X30 Class whilst both Junior drivers Jackson Callow and Lachlan Dalton will be looking to take the next step forward in their levels of performance.
