A plethora of Tasmanian Karters head to the sporting capital of Australia this weekend to compete in the 32nd City of Melbourne Titles held at the Go Kart Club of Victoria's Todd Road complex.

Over the years many Tasmanians have considered this the mainland event to take part in and this year is no exception with no less than 20 Taswegians making the journey to test their skills against their mainland counterparts.

Darcy's older brother Campbell will compete in Cadet 12 and are both are on a high after taking all before them at home this year and leading their respective classes in the statewide series. Jesse Keeling (Cadet 12) from the Southern Tasmanian Kart Club has experienced the tough mainland competition before and will know that this is a big step up.

Launceston's Tyson Phegan, competing in the KA4 Junior Light class, also heads to the big smoke for the first time and will gain valuable experience in racing against some of the best karters in Australia, one of which will be Westbury's Tate Frost who has been at the pointy end of the KA4 field at the national series this year.
