Seven Tasmanians at National Kart Final

Seven Tasmanian karters head to the final round of the Australian Kart Championship this weekend at the Go Kart Club of Victoria’s Todd road circuit.

Heading the list are the four AWC Motorsport Academy Drivers - Lochie Dalton (LKC) in KA4 Junior, Jackson Callow (LKC) in KA2, Nathan Zuj (LKC) in X30 and Brody Appleby (NWKC) also in X30. All will be keen to finish the national series off with a good result and move up the overall standings.

Westbury’s Tate Frost, who has also competed at all the national rounds and sits 9th in the KA4 Junior standing and has grabbed a couple of front row starts this year, will be keen to start the weekend off well with another good qualifying result.

Keenan Slater from the North Western Kart Club will be competing at his first round of the national series, racing in KA3 Senior.

Rounding out the Tassie karters will be Launceston Kart Club member Alastair Lee who will be competing in X30 for the first time in a huge field of 33 of Australia’s best drivers.
