Last year Sceats qualified 19th and finished 17th in the Cadet 12 class Final.

The three-day meeting is part of the big SuperFest promotion leading up to the Castrol Gold Coast 600 Supercar race weekend and has attracted a number of Kiwi karters since its inception.

Auckland-based international KZ2 class star Daniel Bray finished second to five-time World Karting Champion, Italian Davide Fore, in 2014.

Fore won the KZ2 class Final again last year, with Bray 10th after a clash with eventual second place-getter Marijn Kremers.

But this year Bray is taking a break from driving, instead working as a technician and driver coach for the Patrizicorse team.
