Lismore Kart Club has called off this weekend's Young Guns Titles. It was to have been the 21st running of the annual event, which the club now hopes to rechedule later in the year.

The club has issued this message regarding the event:
Urgent Urgent Urgent...
The 21st Lismore Young Guns Title have after some great debate, has been called off by LKC president Mr Barry Fisher.
LKC President Mr Barry Fisher has many concerns including but not limited to the following: Major sponsor Supercheap Auto having to pull sponsorship/items due to the Lismore store being devastated by last weeks flooding, the fact that there is no Motel Accommodation, severe boggy ground at LKC due to more rain today, the fact that many from Lismore have been affected and will not be able to attend, and more rain predicted etc.
We at the LKC are very frustrated as you can imagine, due to people's efforts in cleaning up the club (post flood) yesterday, however there is practically nothing that can be done except by divine intervention, I guess.
Above: High-tide line...
I would like to take this opportunity to once again thank all those LKC Members/Non Members, and Lismore community that helped out in any way yesterday. You are all great people, with great values, comradery and mateship.
To all that had started travelling for this event, please accept our apologies and we ask for a little understanding. As soon as a new race date has been set I will l let you know. We at LKC are aware that the flooding events may have cost our little club greatly, but hope that many of you will still attend the 21st Lismore Young Guns Titles (re-dated) to help keep us a viable club in 2017.
Kind regards, empathy and understanding,
Lismore Kart Club.
