Alternative Carby Approved For PRD Galaxy

Karting Australia has approved the use of an alternative carburettor on the 125cc PRD Galaxy TaG engine.
The Tillotson HW-30A PRD carburettor has been approved for use on the Galaxy as new engines will now come with this fitted as standard. Previously, PRD Galaxys came with an Ibea PRD L9.

Importer, St George Karts, has advised KA there is no performance difference between the two carburettors.
The change will bring Australian competition into line with other countries that are using the PRD Galaxy engine.
Transitioning to the Tillotson is not mandatory. Both carbies have a maximum venturi diameter of 24mm.
