Formula K Renovates & Invests For 2013

press release 5 February 2013

The 2013 season will mark a turning point for Formula K. Born just three years ago and already one of the most important and reliable outfits of the karting world, the Italian team plans on furthering the good work done so far, drawing confidence from the expansion of its retail network and the growth in sales revenue registered last year. Here is the 2013 season by Formula K, point by point.

ORGANIZATION CHART
Clear vision and important confirmations

At the core of Formula K’s values is the belief that any ambitious project starts with the people that make it possible. This is why the Italian team has chosen to reconfirm the organizational leadership of the following motorsport professionals: Andrea Bertolini, Pietro Corradini, Roberto Ninzoli and Nunzio Annovi (in chronological order of affiliation), all of whom are dedicated to furthering Formula K’s mission to create high-competition karts and cultivate new racing talents.

RACING TEAM
On track all season long

Formula K relies on satellite teams to keep its flag flying high in all major international competitions. In the WSK Euro Series, as well as the CIK-FIA World and European championships Tiihonen will be the one defending the Formula K colors in the KF category, with the support of the FK Racing Team and technical assistance by Eddie “Cash” Van Belle.

Formula K will also line up in the major events by Rotax, sponsor of the world’s biggest single-brand series, including: the Rotax Winter Cup in Spain, the 4 rounds of the Rotax Euro Challenge and the Rotax International Open (also in Spain). In all these events, the FK Racing team will be represented by both Tiihonen (Senior) and Xen De Rue (DD2). Joining them there will also be the ultra-confirmed duo of Preining (Junior) and Forman (Senior) and the rest of team Protrain, the outfit linked to Formula K’s English retailer, as well as the great line-up of team Kartschmie, the German satellite. Both teams, like all satellite outfits in any event, will receive the technical support of “Cash” Van Belle.

SALES NETWORK
Formula K is all over the world

Formula K’s sales network today extends across all 5 continents. The sales team enjoyed an important expansion just last year, confirming the high standard of credibility that international operators all around the world attribute to the FK project.

Formula K is now present in Canada, South Africa, Namibia, Angola, Mozambique, Australia, Japan, China, Macao, Hong Kong, Malaysia, and the USA and also counts a significant presence in the Middle East and across Europe. In Italy alone, besides the sales operations of the head company, Formula K products enjoy nation-wide distribution by 6 different retailers. And, with Formula K Europe ceasing operations, all European retailers are now supplied directly by the main company. Working from these premises, the goal for 2013 is to expand the Formula K project even more.

FIGURES AND NEWS
Sales on the rise and some news

Numbers don’t lie and those generated by Formula K tell us that product quality and retail expansion have had a positive revenue impact all around the world. In 2012, despite the international economic crisis, Formula K chassis registered a 400 % sales increase: this means 500 chassis sold (compared to 100 in 2011), a clear sign of Formula K’s good health. The goal for 2013 is bringing sales up to full production capacity, which is set at between
700 and 800 chassis a year. The 150 requests already processed for January and February are an encouraging sign.

In addition, this year the Formula K product line includes a new chassis with an innovative frame design that will soon be presented to the general public.
