Stars of Karting Official Series Suppliers

Special offer for competitors from both suppliers

Organisers of the CIK Stars of Karting Series presented by Castrol EDGE have confirmed the teams at AF Images and Custom Decals as Official Suppliers to the series ahead of this weekend’s 2013 opener in Ipswich, Queensland.

It is the fourth year that the team at AF Images have been appointed to handle the photographic requirements by Australia’s elite karting championship.

“Over the past three years, the team at AF Images have been a great supporter of the series and helped lift the sport to another level with their professionalism of a service to the series’ requirements and media outlets,” said Series Chairman Craig Denton.

“We look forward to having them back on board for 2013.”

AF Images’ Ash Budd is excited about being a part of the series again for 2013 and as a part of the announcement AF Images has a special offer to competitors in the series.

At each round of the 2013 series, two drivers will be selected by AF Images at random to receive a free 12-months subscription to the KARTX Magazine.  As another bonus to competitors lining up on the grid this weekend in Ipswich, every driver will be provided with a download link to receive photos for their personal use - Free of charge from the opening round thanks to AF Images.

“At AF Images we are big supporters of karting all across the country, we are involved with the sport because we love it and we’re delighted to be a part of the Stars of Karting Series again in 2013,” said Budd.

“The KARTX prize for each round and the free personal use of images at this opening round is our way of giving a little something back to those who provide us with the opportunity to be a part of the series.”

Over the past few years Cameron Harch and the team at Custom Decals, the majority of whom are karters themselves, has looked after the series’ signage requirements.  This is a relationship that will continue in 2013.

“As a series we’re continually aiming to improve our image, the Custom Decals team have assisted us immensely in this area with their great trackside banners and our other requirements,” added Denton.

“They are continually working with the series to lift the profile and we’re excited about the next 12 months with them on board.”

As a part of the announcement, Harch is offering any driver competing in the 2013 series discounted prices on a selected range of products from Custom Decals.

The Ipswich Kart Club in Queensland will host the opening round of the 2013 CIK Stars of Karting Series presented by Castrol EDGE this weekend.

A total of 160 entries have been received for the series opener with 27 drivers in the Pro Gearbox (KZ2) ranks, 18 in Pro Light (KF) and 22 in Pro Junior (KFJ)

In addition to the Pro categories a huge field of drivers will line up in the Dunlop TaG 125 Light and Heavy categories where they will be battling for the inaugural Queensland State Championship for the class.

There will also be some great racing to be seen from the drivers in the TaG 125 Restricted category and some of the youngest drivers in the sport of karting in the Rookies category.

The Ipswich Kart Club is located on Champions Way, Willowbank.

Admission for spectators is free.
