Boccolacci (F – Energy-TM KF) and Norris (GB – FA Kart-Vortex KFJ) achieve the Superpole of the second round of the WSK Master Series in Sarno (Italy). Lammers (NL – Intrepid-TM) and Fusco (I – Lenzo-LKE) are the fastest in KZ2 and 60Mini.
The second round of the WSK Master Series has begun in Sarno. As usual, also in this WSK event there have been plenty of qualifying races in all the four categories since Friday. In Sarno, on the circuit in front of Mount Vesuvius, the 200 scrutineered drivers of the KZ2, KF, KFJ and 60 Mini start to challenge each other today. They are all giving their best, trying to set the fastest time in qualifying before racing in the heats. The reward for their efforts is the WSK Master Series, hosted by the Southern Italian circuit for its second round of 2013.

Boccolacci is outstanding in Superpole. It's him, again! The French Dorian Boccolacci (Energy-TM-Vega), the leader of the KF current standings, confirms to be in peak form, setting the fastest time of the Superpole in 1’05”041 along the 1700 metres of the International Circuit Napoli. This time it is the Polish Karol Basz (Tony Kart-Vortex-Vega) who follows closely, setting his personal best time only 51 milliseconds behind the poleman. The Croatian Martin Kodric (FA Kart-Vortex-Vega) is slightly slower, 0”182 behind, together with the British Callum Ilott (Zanardi-Parilla-Vega), with a 0”217 gap. These are the four fastest drivers out of the 12 who took part in the first session of the Superpole. Now, the heats are their tomoroow's goal.
Norris grabs the Superpole in KF Junior. He left London to participate in the WSK and, this year, Lando Norris (FA Kart-Vortex-Vega) is showing what he is capable of. He was the fastest of the Superpole setting the time at 1’07”032. Another young talent made himself conspicuous today: it is the Russian Robert Shwartzman (Tony Kart-TM-Vega), who is 29 milliseconds behind the poleman. Also the third fastest driver comes from Russia: Nikita Sitnikov (Tony Kart-BMB-Vega), third with a 0”145 gap. He precedes the Finnish Niko Kari (FA Kart-Vortex-Vega) 0"164 behind. After this evening KF heats, qualifying continues and finishes tomorrow.
Fusco clinches the pole in 60 Mini. The Italian Giuseppe Fusco (Lenzo-LKE-Le Cont) was the fastest on his home circuit - he comes from Naples - in the 60 Mini category: he set the time at 1’16”599, 86 milliseconds faster than the Malaysian Abdul Muizz (Hero-LKE-Le Cont). Third the Greek Konstantinos (Hero-LKE-Le Cont), ahead of the Italian Alex Nocella (Tony-LKE-Le Cont).
Lammers is the fastest in KZ2. The dutch driver Lammers (Intrepid-TM-Bridgestone), at his comeback on an Intrepid kart, set the best time in KZ2 with 1”03”625, 34 milliseconds faster than the English Ben Hanley (ART GP-TM-Bridgestone). The leader of the standings, Max Verstappen (CRG-TM-Bridgestone), another talented Dutch driver, will have to fight hard to fend off his rivals' attacks: he set the third time, 0”122 slower. The Tony Kart Team follows closely thanks to Marco Ardigò (Tony Kart-Vortex-Bridgestone), fourth with a 0”166 gap. The F1 driver Jaime Algersuari (Intrepid-TM-Bridgestone) is still looking for the right setup and achieved only a mid-ranking position. The Spaniard, in tomorrow's heats, will have to fight hard to recover.
