Former front line karter Jessica Golding has eyes on competing at the 2018 Winter Olympics in the sport of Skeleton (Skeleton is a fast ice sliding sport, much like Luge - but head first and face down).
"Athletes usually find themselves in the sport of skeleton after transitioning from another sport with a similar skill set" Golding informed KartSportNews. "It is not uncommon to find a lot of sprinters competing in the sport. For me, it was motorsport."

Golding raced karts since she was 10 years old (winning an Australian title), did a short stint in Formula Ford and has tested Formula BMW.
"Basically, I am used to high g-forces, speed, race lines and qualifying. (In skeleton) athletes can experience forces up to 5G and reach speeds up to 80mph."
Jess is currently in full fundraising mode for the 2013/14 North American Cup Skeleton season.
"As a development slider, our racing seasons are only partially funded. As we progress through the program athletes receive more funding."
She is accepting sponsorship and donations via a fundraising page at www.gofundme.com/jessgolding
