Ricky is now in final preparations for his next event across the ditch, the fourth round of the ProKart series at Tokoroa, an event the 17-year old is exceptionally excited to be competing in, adding to his growing list of International experience.

“I’m looking forward to working with the Lascom Motorsport team owned by Snow Mooney and Brian Waldmeyer, they have both been very supportive since I have met them and I really appreciate everything they have done for me this season.

“The competition level in New Zealand is incredible, and the fairness between all the drivers is to be admired, we are still learning the Praga chassis, so an improvement from the New Zealand Sprint would make me very happy.

“Racing in New Zealand has made me realize the talent level throughout the country, I have known Ryan Grant, who is currently leading the ProKart Series, since I was seven years old, he has being a big role-model in my racing career and I look forward to racing him for the first time,” Capo stated.

The talented youngster admits it’s been a career full of hard work and determination, and the support from his family has been incredible.

“My parents, Frank and Carol Capo, have worked incredibly hard in my racing career, Dad has been responsible for building my engines and my gearbox as well as well as paying for almost everything, I am very appreciative of everything they have done for me,” Capo concluded.

Round four of the ProKart Series takes place at Tokoroa on the North Island in New Zealand from May 24-26.
