• For the first time, both Rotax Micro MAX and Rotax Mini MAX will be part of the festivities with their own races at the 2013 Rotax MAX Challenge Grand Finals in New Orleans. As per the other categories, the 68 Micro and Mini MAX competitors will use spec chassis. Rotax recently announced the official chassis supplier for Micro MAX is IPKarting's OK1 brand, while Haase will supply the Micro MAX field. As revelaed in March, CRG will be used in DD2, Juniors will use Energy, DD2 Masters will be on Praga and Sodi is the chassis for Senior MAX.
  
  
• Michael Patrizi's Patrizicorse karting team has formed a partnership with world leading lubrication company Motul through their Australia Distributor Link International. Patrizicorse will use Motul's extensive range of high end factory line products, including engine oil, Gear 300 Range (for the KZ2 gearbox karts) and the famous factory line Motul Chain lube, plus Brake Clean, Chain Clean, Helmet Cleaner and Shine & Go spray. The team will also be supplied with RK Racing Chains. Patrizicorse currently has 3 full time drivers in the CIK Stars of Karting Series: Kyle Ensbey KZ2, Daniel Currey KZ2 and Courtney Gough Tag Light. Patrizicorse also has Hayden Patrizi in the WA KZ2 series and Oliver Bayliss in the Rookie Category.
  
  
  
• Into old karts, the people or the places? There is a great page on facebook with a huge gallery of old karts and old karting photos - pics from the period, old karts and parts as they are today (both unrestored and on track) and other interesting bits, like old race programs and grid sheets with famous names from their time in karting. • North Shore Kart Club has published "Due to maintenance the track will not be available for practice this Sunday 21 July". So, don't plan a run at Eastern Creek this Sunday!

• Dunlop Kartsport has changed the distribution channel for Dunlop kart tyres in Queensland. Effective immediately, all Queensland Dunlop kart tyre distribution will now be managed directly by Dunlop Kartsport from its Melbourne warehouse and no longer go through a third party. "This will ensure absolute stock control and all dealers receiving the same, current age stock" Dunlop Kartsport have stated. Full detail on the AKA site HERE.
