2013-2014 Rotax Dates Announced

  30 August 2013

The proposed dates and venues for the next National Rotax Rankings cycle have been announced. In a meeting with all the drivers at the Rotax Nationals this afternoon, IKD's Ian Black explained a number of changes that will be made, including:

  • Rankings points being allocated for the pre-final (which will be a bit longer distance)
  • A Talent Quest at the Todd Rd event
  • $500 first place prize at each round for Rotax Heavy where the driver can either take the cash, or gamble it on another win at the following round (where if they win, they collect $2000, but lose the lot if they don't win)
  • Rotax Heavy will no longer have a World Final drive up for grabs
  • The top 3 from Rotax Light, DD2, DD2 Masters and Junior MAX will receive an invite to the World Final
  • Trophy Class will run at Albury/Wodonga, but wont receive rankings points for that event

Full details of all the changes will be available here soon.
