The Revolution Racegear Rumble Is Set To Go

This weekend the Club Championship for the New South Wales Speedway Kart Club is set to return to Nepean Raceway with large numbers expected. Revolution Racegear has jumped on board to become this weekend’s major sponsor for round six.  Revolution Racegear continues to be the major provider of racegear products in Australia supporting all types of Australian and World Class motorsport. They will be on site this weekend selling some of their Australian Motorsport products. They have many stores around Australia including six in NSW, one located on Parramatta Road, Auburn.

Heading into this weekend Connor Moreau has been unstoppable in the Cadets Class. He currently sits on top of the Cadets standings twenty nine points ahead of young lady racer Payton Coghlan. Younger Sister Sophie Coghlan has been improving all season in just her first year racing. Sophie has been gaining her confidence and now is etching ever closer to that first race win. She currently sits sixth in the standings and is hoping for another great performance come Sunday.

In Rookies Andrew Sayre has been leading the way, however newly crown Australian Champion Luke Geering is hoping to take over the championship lead with a strong performance this weekend. Young Kyle Mock had a strong weekend at the Australian titles and is looking to add to that confidence with a win this weekend. The top five drivers in Rookies are separated by just one round in the points, so if anyone of the top contenders has a bad weekend it could prove disastrous in the championship chase.

Daniel Sayre currently leads the overall Club Championship heading into round six but is going to be under attack this weekend. Marcus Dumesny proved that Sayre can be beaten in 2013 after taking his maiden Australian Title just two weeks ago. Mitchell Pyne is looking forward to a successful weekend when he competes in the Juniors class. Pyne currently sits eighth in the Juniors standings and has shown some great performances throughout the year. Taylor Rietdyk will be other one too look out for on Sunday. This young lady racer has recently taken a step away from karting after an accident last year. Taylor is a former NSW number two and this weekend will mark her third start in the kart since her accident. Taylor is always giving the boys in front a run for their money. Expect to see Taylor fighting for a podium and race wins this weekend.

Jake Baines continues to lead in the Clubman Light standings just ahead of his Father Wayne. Jordan Binskin has been the quiet sleeper in the pack, he sits third on the standings after consistently posting strong results throughout the season. Jason Woodward will be the man to watch, after making a return to the speedway karting scene at the last round, Woodward will be hoping to improve on his string of second places and finally land himself on the top step of the podium.

Clubman Heavy is currently the closest title fight. Les Green leads Matt Elliot by a slender margin of just four points. Those two are set to continue their epic battle this weekend. Gary Slarke returns to the Club Championship on Sunday after his terrible accident earlier in the year. Slarke is always one person who is knocking on the door of race wins so expect to him up the front this weekend. Matthew Angilley has been making improvements as the season progress. Angilley was fourth overall back in round four and is looking to string together some consistent results come Sunday.

After his double success at the Australian Title, Donald Stevens comes into this weekend’s round of the club championship as clear favorite. Brad Cunnenn has been there with him all season and is expected to take the challenge up to Stevens on Sunday. After a strong showing back in round four and a sixth at the recent Australian Title, Greg Coghlan will be someone to watch out for. With years of experience under his belt, Coghlan always knows how to get the most out of his kart at the Nepean venue.
