latest karting news from Oz & OS...

  • A TV wrap of the NSW State Championships last weekend, including interviews with Jason Varley and Tommy Harradine, plus footage of Jake Coleman and Dimitri Agaothos coming together in the Clubman Light final, was aired on Prime regional television. Click HERE to watch.

  • The Rotax Pro Tour registration lists for each class have been updated - check for your race number and rego number on the Rotax website HERE. Rego cards will be handed out at the next event.

  • Onboard video from 5th annual kart street race in Patras, Greece. Driver is Vasilagos Giorgos (Birel/IAME Leopard) starting 8th. Check out how narrow the track is in places - and the crowd!

  • A 21-year old man who died after being hit by a train at a railway station in the UK has been identified as a former karting champion. Kieran Tison was the Youth Academy Karting Champion at Lakesde Karting Raceway. He won four championships in his first year (2008) and finished second in the Junior Club series at the prestigious Buckmore Park, where Formula One stars Lewis Hamilton and Jenson Button started their careers.

  • The first 40 foot container of equipment has left for New Orleans and the 2013 Rotax MAX Challenge Grand Final. 14 other containers from France, Italy, Germany and Austria will travel by sea and then up the Mississippi to the port of New Orleans. The containers include the tonnes of kart chassis, race tyres, engines and spare parts required to run the event.

  • Below are Pre-Final 1 and Pre-Final 2 from the Junior World Championship round in Italy on the weekend. We'd expect footage of the final to be on youtube shortly:

  • Check out some of the names who have taken advantage of the Early Bird entry for the Australian Vintage Kart Prix next year - there are some big ones from the past in there, from both Australia and overseas! The range of equipment that will be on track, both chassis and engines, is mighty impresive and even includes a DAP/DAP (ie, DAP only) class. The event takes place at Ipswich from March 21 to 23:
