Kiwi Karters Out Early In New Orleans

press release 17 November 2013

Kiwi karters Mathew and Daniel Kinsman, Stu Marshall and Marcus Armstrong have failed to make it past the heats at this year's Rotax Max Grand Finals meeting in New Orleans.

Three of the four (Mathew Kinsman, Marshall and Armstrong) had to go to their second chance heats to try and claw back an advantage but with only six from each moving on the closest the trio got was Masters class competitor Marshall who finished 10th.

Even before the second chance races it was not looking good for the Kiwi foursome, with DD2 class competitor Daniel Kinsman twice knocked out of heat races to record 34th and 35th place finishes and not even making the second chance cut while New Zealand's Junior representative Marcus Armstrong was not allowed to start his third heat after being late leaving parc ferme.

Final second chance race finishing positions were; Daniel Kinsman, Senior Max 19th, Stu Marshall, DD2 Masters 10th and Marcus Armstrong, Junior Max 24th.

Armstrong now heads north-west to join an eight-strong Kiwi contingent at the SuperKarts USA SuperNationals meeting in Las Vegas next week.
