Birel Kartsport Confirmed As Exclusive Importer For Australia

The collaboration between the BIREL parent company from Lissone, Italy and Birel Kartsport Australia continues. The Australian company, with its operational headquarters in Queensland, is a point of reference for the karting market in the distant continent of Australia, and in a short time has become Birel Spa's exclusive importer for the Birel and RK brands, as well as the official dealer of FREELINE spare parts and BMB engines.
Steve Macken, the founder of Birel Kartsport Australia, began in the karting industry in 1996 thanks to the passion for racing of his two sons, Matthew and James.
Over the last eighteen months Birel Kartsport Australia first introduced the Birel group's RK Kart brand, with excellent results, and subsequently also made a success of the Birel brand in the Australian market. Steve Macken also formed a racing team to demonstrate the performance of Birel and RK chassis in the field; the team has achieved podium finishes in CIK events, State Championships and races in the Junior and Senior categories of the Rotax Pro Tour.
Among the sporting objectives of Birel Kartsport Australia for 2014 is to compete at a professional level in the Rotax Pro Tour, the CIK Stars of Karting Championship and also at the Club level with the new S6 models that
will be appearing in Australia at the beginning of the year.
2014 will also see the introduction of the new AR28-RX MTS Junior chassis.
