The November issue of KARTX Magazine is now on sale.

There has been very few things in Australian karting over the past decade that has generated such excitement and whole-hearted agreement than the recent Coates Hire Race of Stars event.

The atmosphere around the Xtreme Karting Facility on the Gold Coast was similar to what those in the sport for more than a decade would remember a ‘street race’ feeling.

There was none of the two full days of practice immediately before the event, nor the weeks on end of testing by the major teams, it was simply turn up Friday, race on Saturday, party on Saturday night and head home Sunday. It was that simple.

In between which, the unique, fast track layout provided some of the most fantastic racing across all of the six categories being contested. From the Cadets, where a capacity field of 32 invited drivers lined up through to the high-speed action of the Pro Gearbox (KZ2) karts hitting speeds around 160 km/h.

It was this type of action that made the V8 Supercar drivers such as Russell Ingall, James Courtney, Dean Fiore and Maro Engel understand how impressive karting still is.

Race of Stars

An estimated that 4,000 people visited the Extreme Karting complex for this spectacular on-day event. Check out all the action from the Coates Hire Race of Stars

S.A Open

Over 240 competitors took to the famed Bolivar raceway in South Australia in chase of a State Championship. Among the first time winners & repeat champions there was one story that stood out.
