The Gippsland Go Kart Club held annual end-of-year awards on Saturday night, December 7. The top three placings in each class across the year received trophies (results below) and a number of other special awards were also handed out, including gifts for many of the volunteers who run the club and monthly race days.
The top 3 in each class for 2013 are:
Cadets: 1 Bailey Collins, 2 Aiden Castle, 3 Rhys Kemp
Junior National Light: 1 Troy Alger, 2 James Fyfe, 3 Brock Watchorn
Sportsman Restricted Light: 1 Todd Blackney, 2 Lachlan Crampton, 3 Steve Gorman
Sportsman Restricted Medium: 1 Lachlan Crampton, 2 Jack Gorman, 3 Steve Gorman
Rookies: 1 Marcus Fraser, 2 Adam Watchorn, 3 Chad Densley
Clubman Heavy: 1 Ryan Aitken, 2 Grant Wicks, 3 Damien Scurlock
TaG 125 Medium: 1 Ryan Aitken, 2 Ross Miller, 3 Geoff Wyhoon
Clubman Over 40s: 1 Grant Wicks, 2 Frank Schena, 3 Tim Marriott
Junior National Heavy: 1 Nicholas Castle, 2 Jarrod Castle, 3 Elly Morrow
Clubman Light: 1 James Dean, 2 Nikola Alger, 3 Curt Sera
Sportsman Restricted Heavy: 1 Jack Gorman, 2 Matthew Bink, 3 John Schena
Two Life Memberships were awarded on the night; long-term track announcer Geoff Medew and club Treasurer Phil Lane. President's Award went to Ryan Aitken while Charmaine Hicks and Matthew Fraser were declared Club Persons of the Year.
