Schools Karting Championship Finalise Venues

  11 December 2013

KartSchool, promoters of the Australian Schools Karting Championship, has announced that all race venues have now been confirmed.

Round 1 (local rounds) and round 2 (state rounds) will be held in Brisbane, Sydney, Canberra and Melbourne. Venues are Go Karting Brisbane, Kartatak and Ultimate Karting Sydney, PowerKart Raceway Canberra and Le Mans Grand Prix Circuits Melbourne.

Round 3 (the National Titles round) will be held at Picton Karting in NSW, a short drive from Sydney.

"The 2014 Championship will be held in April and May" Kartschool's Gerald Chait informed KartSportNews.

"Rounds 1 and 2 will be held on Tuesday and Wednesday evenings in Brisbane, Sydney and Canberra, whilst they will be held on Sunday mornings in Melbourne. The National Round at Picton will be held over a weekend."

The Championship is an 'Arrive and Drive' program. Confirmed entrants simply arrive at the nominated venue and all karts and safety gear will be provided.

"Due to track density constraints, numbers may need to be limited at most venues" Chait added.

Entries will be accepted on a first in basis with preference given to anyone who has registered prior to entry opening.

"We already have over 130 Registrations of Interest and will soon start communicating additional information via email directly to everyone who has registered their interest.

"If you have not yet registered your interest we highly recommend doing so as soon as possible."

There is no charge to register interest - simply go to www.kartschool.com.au and follow the links.
