The Championship entry fee for the Australian Schools Karting Championship is $145 per student.
The first ever championship of its type in this country, it will have local state rounds in May with the National final on June 1 - see schedule published yesterday HERE.
"The 2014 Championship entry fee has been set as low as possible to maximise the number of students competing" Kartschool's Gerald Chait informed KartSportNews.
"It includes all equipment, karts, helmets and safety gear as well as trophies or medallions for all Local, State and National winners."
While the Championship entry fee is $145, finalists competing in the premier National Title Round will incur a small $65 surcharge.
"For insurance purposes, race centres require participants to hold a current licence issued by their centre. Licences are approximately $9 per student and can be purchased directly from the various race centres."
There are no additional fees for entering and racing in the Championship.
The National winner will be crowned Australian Schools Karting Champion and will receive a number of fantastic prizes, including:
- An invitation to work as a team member of a leading V8 Ute race team at a V8 Supercars race meeting
- A National Championship trophy
- A private test session in an ART GP kart with the ART GP race team
- An exclusive invitation to tour the DPE (Arrow and Monaco) factory in Melbourne, hosted by the General Manager of DPE
- A number of sensational hot laps in a V8 racecar from Fastrack V8 Racecar Experience.
