Kosmic Set For Championship Defence

press release 5 March 2014

The Kosmic Racing Australia team will expand in 2014 with eight drivers set to join the team for major events across the country.

Armed with the green plate in the Pro Light (KF) class in the Castrol EDGE CIK Stars of Karting Series courtesy of Matthew Waters’ victory in 2013, the team will field four drivers in the class this year.

Waters will be out to defend his title while team-mate Josh Smith, who made the step into the senior ranks last year, will be out to chase the title.  The pair will be joined by series debutants NSW Junior Clubman Champion Harry Hayek and Victorian Daniel Edmonds.

Youngsters Jett Bennett and Zac Raddatz will also line up in Pro Junior (KFJ) in the five round series while Zack Wilson and Jack Richardson will compete in TaG 125 Light throughout the year.

Dimitri Agathos will also compete with the team in selected events.

“I’m really looking forward to the year ahead.  We’ve got a good mix of youth and experience in the team,” said Team Principal Peter Galvin.

“We’ve already started the year off by showing some great speed at the Brian Farley Memorial, now we’ve turned our focus to defending our title in the CIK Stars of Karting while also aiming for the National Championships in April.”
