  • Here's a great clip from the Lone Star Grand Prix karting street race in Lockhart, USA, earlier this month (the town claims it's the BBQ capital of Texas!). Track construction took place on the Friday night, followed by practice and some racing on Saturday. Sunday's weather got progressively worse ending with icy, wet finals:


  • Retro racers rejoice! The UK-based 1990s 100cc series now has a website for their "Pure Karting / Proper Motors / Realistic Budget" series.   • Daniel Plant leads the 2014 SE Qld J-MAX Series after the opening round at Cooloola Kart Club on the weekend. Series points at the conclusion of the round are:


  • Former GP winner Rubens Barrichello's eldest son Eduardo has won his first karting event, seen here taking the chequered flag. Eduardo competes in the Brazilian Rotax Max Challenge.

  • Cody Burcher from Orange, NSW, has joined the ART Grand Prix Australia team. The 10-year old will compete in the Rookies class. At this weekend's opening round of CIK, John Grother will be joined in KZ2 by former CRG driver Matthew Hunt. Completing the team's lineup, Rishikeshan Sabesan will race in TaG Light, taking the position vacated by Aaron Borg who has now moved to KF.
