  • A message to X30 drivers competing at the Queensland State Championships:

    Due to a complication, the MG Yellow FZ tyre will be the pooled tyre for the X30 Light and X30 Heavy classes to be contested at the Queensland State Championships on July 11-13, not the Prime tyre as previously indicated. This has been sanctioned by Karting Australia.

  • Looks like Aaron Seton's nine year karting career is coming to an end with news he's preparing to team up with dad Glenn at the next round of the Australian Manufacturers Championship later this month. He's already had several tests of the Mitsubishi Evo 10 the pair will share with Bob Pearson. “He’s done at least four test days and speedwise he’s not that far away from me" Glenn told Speedcafe.com.   • Several days ago we posted about Speedcafe's report of Bryce Fullwood having a drive in a Paul Morris V8 on the Gold Coast. Now here's the video:


  • We hear a new Superkart lap record was set at Lakeside last Saturday, June 28. Russell Jamieson clocked a 0:49.9670, which is apparently the first ever sub 50 second lap.

  • After competing in KZ2 at the Puckapunyal round of the CIK Stars of Karting series, Kristian Lindbom reckons more V8 Supercar drivers should be using top level karting competition to refine their skills. Read an interview with Lindbom on speedcafe HERE.
