  • The Kart Racing Network will LIVE broadcast the US Rotax Grand Nationals on July 18-20 in High-Definition streaming video. Qualifying and SuperPole will be beamed to the world on Friday the 18th (US time) followed by heat races Saturday and Pre-Finals/Finals on the Sunday - kartracingnetwork.com

  • The abovementioned US Rotax Nationals enjoys sponsorship from outside of karting. Cold Stone Creamery (ice cream) is the event's title sponsor while TacoTime has also signed up. Both will be trackside selling product throughout the event. But what does this mean for registered competitors? Free tacos on Saturday and free ice cream on Sunday! True story!

  • New kerbing is being installed at the Go Kart Club of Victoria's Todd Road circuit. Depending on the weather, the club hopes to have the work finished by this weekend. Club members should keep an eye on the club website for updates on track access - www.gkcv.com.au

  • Trackside Services this weekend:
    • Master Karting and Kerbrider will be at Hamilton for round 4 of the Vic Country Series
    • William Yarwood's Project X Racing is at Prosperpine for the Queensland Championships

  • Flash footrests - a new range of karting product designed and manufactured by Swiftek Engineering in Queensland to help fit shorter people into the kart. Made from 6061 aluminium, they are available in a range of anodised colours and fit late model OTK chassis (Tony Kart, FA, Kosmic, Redspeed, Exprit).   • Photos from day 3 of the CAMS Academy Camp in Melbourne are on Facebook HERE. The 19 young racers from all over Australia were put to the test, emerging sore and tired, but better prepared and informed for becoming an elite athlete in motor sport.

  • "What makes an elite athlete?" Part 1. The CAMS Academy Camp enlisted Jack Ziebell (AFL NMFC), Andrew Swallow (AFL NMFC), Elise Rechichi (Sailing Gold Medallist) & Steve Hooker (Pole Vaulting Gold Medallist) to talk about how they got to the top of their sports.


  • ...and Part 2. Hear from the CAMS Academy students about what they believe makes an elite athlete, plus words from instructors Tim Cole and Karl Reindler on what they will be looking for in the elite race drivers of tomorrow.


  • The newly formed United States Rally Kart Association will run its first race meeting at US41 Speedway in Lakeville, Indiana on September 13th. Five asphalt division classes (L0206, Yamaha Senior, Yamaha Junior, TaG Senior and TaG Junior) will take to the dirt road course in the hope of becoming champions in the first ever U.S. Open of Dirt championship.
