  • There will be two Australians racing in the IAME International Final at Le Mans in France next month. In addition to Oscar Piastri making his international karting debut in the X30 Juniors class, WA's Kip Foster will return to the event in the X30 Masters class. Foster was famously disqualified from 5th place at last year's final for celebrating with the winner (who also got DQ'd) prior to parc ferme. Kip had driven a sterling race from the back of the grid after his engine had taken on water prior to the pre-final. Remo Luciani will be supporting both drivers in France. Lineup by country is below:

  • Video wrap and interview with Australian driver Josh Tynan who competed at the 2014 CIK-FIA World KF Championship in France a week ago:

  • The Deadly duo of Dylan Hollis and John Doria will be joining forces to compete at the 2014 Kingston Cup endurance races at Oakleigh on November 15. The pair will use Hollis' Junior Clubman Deadly kart. “We are both really looking forward to getting into the kart together. Being similar height will definitely be an advantage to us and hopefully we can deliver a worthy result for the Deadly brand" said Hollis. "Sharing my kart with John will be a little weird, but it will be loads of fun and something the both of us have talked about for some time now.” The event will see one-and-half hour endurance races for Junior Performance and Sportsman Restricted. A combined TaG125/TaG Over40s will go for two-and-a-half hours. All races will have 2-driver teams. Link to the Supp Regs on the Race Calendar page.

  • SKUSA's Modesto Kart Grand Prix in the US last month incurred losses of close to US $200,000. The Kart360 website refers to a report from local media that the City of Modesto had expected to make at least $50,000 on its first Grand Prix, but city expenses exceeded revenue from the race. The City Council has yet to vote on whether the race will return in 2015. Read more HERE.
