Reigning Australian Cadet 12 champion Sebastian Eskandari-Marandi will compete as an official factory driver with the Tony Kart Racing Team in Italy in 2023.
Seb won the 2021 AKC in Cadet 9 aboard Parolin. His 2022 AKC campaign, again with Parolin but now in Cadet 12, was super successful, claiming another National championship – at age 9. Incredibly, he’s won seven of the ten AKC events he’s contested.
The Queenslander then ventured overseas, entering a couple of RoK Cup and WSK events to close off the year. Again he impressed, claiming a pole position, fastest lap, heat wins and always qualifying for the finals in massive fields.
Following this impressive run, he was signed by Tony Kart as an official Mini 60 driver for the team next year.
“I will be racing 13 rounds of the WSK in Italy over the 12 months” Seb posted on social media.
“Thank you to Tony Kart and for all those that have helped make this happen.”
