This coming week’s IAME World Final will not take place in Valencia and has been pushed back to the end of the month at an alternative location.
The tragic flash flooding and loss of life in the Valencia region has prompted the change.
“It’s important to not create any distractions for the local community and support the region” a joint IAME S.p.A/RGMMC statement read.
The Valencia circuit was unaffected by the weather and remains in good condition., “However the roads to the local town have been damaged.”
The IWF24 will now take place at the Circuit International of Zuera on November 25-30.
The provisional entry list included six Australians – Casper Anderson and Luca Portaro in X30 Mini, Riley Harrison in X30 Junior, plus a cracking line-up in X30 Senior; Pip Casabene, Lewis Francis and Will Thompson.
Remo Racing has confirmed the Australian drivers and their families will be heading back home in the coming days. It is unclear how many will return for the re-scheduled event.
“Our hearts go out to the people of Spain, our deepest condolences to the families who have lost loved ones and to the communities effected by the devastating floods” Remo posted.
