Caught up in Europe due to the postponement of the IAME World Final, a couple of Aussie drivers and their dads have had the extraordinary opportunity to tour the world-renowned IAME factory in Italy.
Organised by Australian importer Remo Luciani, this wasn’t just any tour. “It was a behind-the-scenes look at the precision engineering that powers the world’s top karting chassis” Remo Racing posted.
“Walking through the factory, the boys were blown away by the meticulous craftsmanship and advanced technology that go into building every IAME engine. The consistency and quality control they witnessed were on another level, leaving a lasting impression on them.”
The Aussies were grateful for the experience: “Hi Remo, thanks for organizing the IAME factory tour. It’s an amazing facility! We were amazed at the level of engineering and technology it takes to build a race engine. Seeing how strict they are with quality control was mind-blowing. This is an experience we’ll treasure forever!”
The IWF was to have been raced in Valencia earlier this month, however the tragic flooding in the area meant this was impossible, so the event has been re-scheduled to Zuera on November 25-30. More about that HERE.
Originally, six Australians were to have contested the event. Unfortunately, Casper Anderson, Luca Portaro and Riley Harrison will not be able to make the new date. Lewis Francis will join Casabene and Thompson in Spain, retaining a cracking line-up for Australia in the X30 Senior class.
