The World Karting Association (WKA) will sanction its first ever American Electric Kart Championship which will take place at the legendary Daytona International Speedway in December.
WKA has teamed with Latvian electric kart manufacturer Blue Shock Race (BSR) to launch the new competition.
It will commence with two “demo” events, the first at Whiteland Raceway Park (Indiana) on October 25-26 followed by Jacksonville Park (Florida) on November 22-24.
“These demos will showcase the high-performance BSR-X4 karts, offering attendees a first-hand look at their impressive power, charging, and preparation processes” BSR announced.

The championship season will officially begin at Daytona (Florida) as part of the WKA Daytona Kartweek from December 27 to 30. WKA plan to have a permanent electric class in 2025.
“This event marks the start of an epic journey to crown the first-ever BSR American Electric Kart Champion. Aspiring racers from diverse backgrounds, including those with no previous karting or motorsport experience, are encouraged to participate.”
Behind the Scenes: “From Zero to Hero”
In conjunction with the championship, BSR is producing a short film series titled “From Zero to Hero,” which will delve into the behind-the-scenes stories of racers, sponsors, and organizers. This series will chronicle the personal journeys, dreams, and race day battles of all involved, highlighting the unique and inspiring narratives that define this ground-breaking championship.
