Preview (Juniors) – QLD Championship

by Russell Innes

One of the most anticipated things about the upcoming Onsite Rental Group 2024 Queensland Kart Championships, is the massive numbers and huge amount of talent that will be on display in the Junior classes.

KA3 Junior Heavy sponsored by Power Republic has an almost at capacity field of 36 entries. After coming so close in Townsville last year, Michael Janusz will be looking to grab the Blue Plate before he maybe moves on to Seniors, but there are many worthy contenders like Isaac McNeill, Ky Burke, Tyson McGill, Samual March, Harry Bresnehan, Loclan Hennock and Jye Flynn.

Amongst the favourites for the KA3 Junior Heavy Championship, Michael Janusz.

KA3 Junior Light sponsored by Project X has a massive 60 entries and is very open for a list of potential winners. Jye Flynn broke through for his 1st State Championship in this class in Townsville last year and has been in pretty good form at Ipswich this year so will again be one of the favourites, but there are a lot of very good drivers who could win this class from Patrick Buckley, Jack Szewzcuk, Tyson McGill, Annabel Kennedy, Basilo Micale, Lana Flack, Riley Harrison, Charlotte Page, Isaac McNeill, Loclan Hennock, Ryan Reid and Brock Helm.
