Above: The Junior National Light final was a ripper, Queenslanders showing the locals how it was done. Chris Hays (#97) managed to get in front of Matthew Brabham on the last lap. Brabham fought back but ran wide on Oakleigh's flat-out last corner, crossing the line in the dirt!

Above: V8 Supercar driver Shane Price was mechanic for Tim Holowell (here with Tim's dad Craig). Price will turn the spanners for Holowell regularly throughout the year whenever he's not at V8 meetings. An opening lap crash took Holowell and several others out of the Junior National Heavy final. Tim had earlier qualified 2nd and placed 2nd in the pre-final.
