Club News: CCSKC News, Come & Try, and Practice Days

press release

Welcome to the start of another Speedway Karting year !

Central Coast Speedway Kart Club is looking forward to another great season of racing with improved tracks, new facilities and many new members/drivers and helpers in the wings.

This coming Saturday 2nd Feb is our first Come & Try day for the 2008 Season. Bookings are essential. If you’ve always wanted to try karting, or simply want to race on a small budget, then this could be the sport for you. Please contact our Club Secretary for further information.

Then on Sunday 3rd Feb we are holding our first practice day for all licensed drivers. Cost will be $25 per driver, with practice running approx 9-4pm. Please check in at the office first, to receive your wrist-band, before heading onto the track. If anybody has motors to run in, could they please advise the Clerk’s on the day as early as possible, as we will be having run in sessions in the morning as well.

Sunday 17th Feb will be our first race meeting of the year, and our first Round in the Club Championship. This will run to our regular timetable. The big earthmoving equipment will be in again, to prepare our track, so the surface will be in mint condition for the start of the season and we should see 2 & 3 lane racing again !

For all membership renewals, licensing paperwork & payments, sponsorship payments etc. it would be appreciated if these could be done over this coming weekend, as this would help to avoid the delays we get in the office at the first meeting of the year.

And some great news for our cashless society, we now have EFTPOS, Visa, Mastercard and AMEX payments available in the office for all types of payments, so you no longer have to grab cash from the bank on the way to the track. There will be a small admin fee with each transaction, to simply help cover the cost of having this facility.

See you all at the track, and hope you have a great 2008 season !
