Vic Superkarts, Rnd 1

The opening round of the Victorian Superkart Club's championship series was run at Phillip Island on February 16.

Due to the high entry numbers late last year, the Gearbox and Non-Gearbox classes were split into two seperate fields. This provided much safer racing and allowed all the Rotax classes to complete their full quota of laps. The rolling starts tested at the final round of 2007 carried through and seem to be popular with the competitors.

Despite excellent conditions, no lap records broken, however Brad Stebbing (125 MAX Light) came within 0.3s during race 2. Results and photos below.
