Horsepower Racing Wins Canberra 7-Hour

press release

The Horsepower Racing team have managed to take out a dominant victory in the ‘Canberra 7 Hour’, as part of the Powered by Honda ProKart Australia Endurance Kart Championship over the weekend (March 1 and 2) at the Fairbairn Park Kart Raceway, near Canberra A.C.T.

After qualifying third on the grid, the Horsepower Racing team never missed a beat throughout the 7 hour event and at the fall of the chequered flag they finished two laps ahead of its nearest rival.
Second place across the finish line behind the dominant Horsepower Racing team was Team OFIK # 96, and in third place, some seven laps down on the winner, was round one winner, the Wollongong City Raceway Jets.

Just outside the podium finishers was a gallant Team Kaos in fourth place after they had to fight their way through the field due to starting from the rear of the grid, and it was the Wild Hogs Racing team that completed the Top 5 finishers.

Colmac Excavations Racing, Bell Pipes Racing, Damage Bros Racing, KBE Racing, and Civic Video Racing rounded out the Top 10 finishers for the weekend.

It was the second placed Team OFIK # 96 that started the ‘Canberra 7 Hour’ from pole position after they had topped the time sheets on Saturday afternoon in the cut-throat Indy qualifying format.

In B division the winner was 3D East Coast 2, who ended up finishing 12th outright, who ended up defeating Two Dogs Racing and Team Shrek outfits.

The best presented Kart award for the weekend was won by the Horsepower Racing team.

Round three of the Powered by Honda ProKart Australia Endurance Kart Championship is to be held at Port Macquarie (Mid North Coast of NSW) on April 19 – 20.
