press release

The Easter Long Weekend, on March 22 and 23 at the Ipswich Kart Track, the second round of the Powered by Honda ProKart Australia Queensland Endurance Kart Championship is to be run and it’s also going to double as the very first running of a ’24 Hour’ Endurance Kart event to held in Queensland.

With over 20 teams entered into the very first 24 Hour Go Kart Endurance Kart race held in Queensland, there is certainly plenty of excitement and interest with this event.

ProKart Australia event coordinator Ryan Stott is also excited about the marking of this historic occasion.
“The very first 24 Hour Endurance Kart race held in Queensland is an exciting occasion for everyone and it has certainly created a lot of interest leading up to the event from various people in the Motorsport industry,” Stott enthused.

“A 24 Hour race is like no other, as not only is it a very gruelling event, but there are so many things that can happen out on the track, whether it be with the drivers or the Go Kart itself, you can never get complacent, no matter how far you are in front, and that is certainly one of the beauties of a 24 Hour race.”

Each team entered in the 24 hour race consists of between three and four drivers.

On track action is set to get underway at 9am on Saturday morning with practice and qualifying, and the 24 Hour race is scheduled to begin at 12pm and finish at the same time the next day (Sunday).

The Ipswich Kart Track is located on Champions Way, Willowbank, near Ipswich.
