Preview: Wollongong Saturday Nights Series Rnd 3

press release

The third round of the Saturday Night Go Kart Series will take place at Wollongong City Raceway (Kembla Grange, South Coast of NSW) this Saturday Night (April 26) and what a night it promises to be.

After two rounds of the Saturday Night Series so far this year the action has been thick and fast throughout the junior and seniors classes and with every round both interest and competitor numbers are growing as a result.

There is no doubt that the Saturday Night Series provides any Go Kart competitor, both young and old, with the opportunity to race without any hassle in a relaxed atmosphere and the main objective is to have fun.
“The Saturday Night Series is growing in popularity with each round, as Go Karters are enjoying being able to turn up on a Saturday afternoon and race, without having to stay around at the track for the entire weekend, and that is proving quite a popular formula,” said Wollongong City Raceway events coordinator Ryan Stott.

“With the growing competitors numbers, the on track action has increased as a result, so not only is there plenty of fun for the competitors, but also for spectators, who are strongly encouraged to come along and see what all the hype is about.”

During the Saturday Night Series events there will be practice and qualifying sessions late on Saturday afternoon, followed by three heat races, pre finals, and the much anticipated final which will decide the round winners.

The Saturday Night Series will begin from 2pm with practice and continue into the night with the racing. Wollongong City Raceway is located on the corner of the Princess Highway and West Dapto Road, Kembla Grange.
